100 Word Challenge - Week 8 (20)

Never had I seen something so frightening,
Nor had I kicked such an innocent thing,
From it’s brown bushy hair,
To it’s balloon like figure.

It didn’t really harm me,
Or even say a word,
I just turned around,
To see it standing oddly still.

I gave a great gasp,
And kicked it with all my might,
Not knowing that deep down,
It was in more of a fright.

I stood next to it,
Apologising for all I’d done,
Next thing I know,
A new friendship had just begun.

Thank you new friend,
For teaching me a better person,
Even though you're just a mutt,

Your loyalty makes you more than the average human.
